This Privacy Policy explains how Drip AI ("Drip AI", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and safeguards personal information when you visit dripaiapp.com (the "Site") and when you use our mobile app and related services (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Drip AI provides an outfit rating and style feedback experience that analyzes photos you submit to generate a rating and personalized tips. Depending on the features you use, you may also track your style history and preferences over time.

3) Scope

This Policy covers personal information processed through the Site and the Services, including mobile apps and any sales, marketing, or events hosted by Drip AI.

4) Information we collect

We collect the categories of information below. Some of this information is provided directly by you; some is collected automatically when you use the Services. Where required by law, we will ask for your consent before collecting or using certain data.

a) Information you provide

  • Photos/images you upload (e.g., your outfit/selfie) for analysis and rating.
  • Text inputs and profile info (e.g., username, style preferences).
  • Support communications and feedback.

Sensitive data: Images you submit may include facial/biometric information. We treat such data as sensitive and handle it with heightened safeguards and limited retention (see Section 9).

b) Information collected automatically

  • Device & usage data: IP address, device type, operating system, app version, identifiers, language settings, crash logs, and interaction data (e.g., feature usage, timestamps).
  • Cookies/SDKs: On the Site, we may use only essential cookies and limited analytics to understand basic traffic and performance. In the app, we may use privacy-centric analytics SDKs for crash reporting and to improve features. You can control cookies via your browser settings and OS settings for mobile analytics/ads.

c) Information from third parties

  • App store platforms: If you purchase subscriptions or in-app features, Apple App Store or Google Play process your payment information. We do not receive your full payment card details. We may receive order confirmations, receipts, and limited metadata to fulfill your purchase.

We do not buy or receive user data from data brokers.

5) Why we use your information (purposes) & legal bases

We process personal information for the purposes below. If you are in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, we rely on the listed legal bases:

  1. Provide the Services (e.g., analyze an uploaded photo to return a rating and tips; maintain your account; support requests; prevent abuse).
    Legal bases: Contract (to provide the Services you request); Legitimate interests (operate, secure, and improve core features); Consent (for sensitive images where required).
  2. Personalize & improve (e.g., show relevant tips, measure performance, train or fine-tune algorithms on de-identified/aggregated data, and keep your "style history" if you enable it).
    Legal bases: Legitimate interests; Consent where required (e.g., for keeping photo history or analytics beyond strictly necessary).
  3. Marketing communications (e.g., product updates, waitlist confirmations).
    Legal bases: Consent (where required). You can unsubscribe at any time.
  4. Security & fraud prevention (e.g., detect abuse of image features, protect accounts).
    Legal bases: Legitimate interests; Legal obligation.
  5. Compliance (e.g., respond to lawful requests, enforce terms, and maintain records).

We do not use your images to build third-party advertising profiles.

6) Where image processing happens

Image analysis may occur on-device or on our secure servers, depending on your device and the feature. Where processing occurs on our servers, images are transmitted using encryption in transit. See retention controls in Section 9.

7) Sharing your information

We share information only as needed to run the Services:

  • Service providers (processors) such as secure hosting, content delivery, analytics/crash reporting, and customer support tools. These providers are bound by contract and may only process data on our instructions.
  • Payment platforms (Apple/Google) for in-app purchases; your card details are handled by the platform.
  • Business transfers if we undergo a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
  • Legal & safety where required by law or to protect our rights or users.

We do not sell your personal information.

8) International transfers

We may process and store information in the country where you live and in other countries (e.g., where our providers are located). If you are in the EEA/UK, when we transfer your personal information outside the EEA/UK we use appropriate safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the UK Addendum, and implement additional measures as needed.

9) Retention (how long we keep data)

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy, then delete or anonymize it.

  • Photos/images uploaded for instant rating: by default, stored only as long as needed to generate a result and ensure delivery, then deleted (typically within 24 hours).
  • Style history (if you enable it): we keep your images, ratings, and related metadata until you delete them in-app or request deletion, or for up to 12 months of inactivity, after which we delete or anonymize.
  • Account, support, and transactional records: kept as required for operations, security, and legal obligations (e.g., tax/audit), typically up to 6 years where applicable.

Where feasible, we store only derived, de-identified features for model evaluation and product safety; such data cannot reasonably be linked back to you. We do not retain biometric templates beyond the periods above.

10) Your choices & rights

  • Access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, objection: available where applicable (EEA/UK/CH/CA and some U.S. states).
  • Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent (e.g., retaining photo history), you can withdraw it at any time in settings or by contacting us.
  • Opt out of marketing: use the unsubscribe link or contact us.

To exercise rights, email support@dripaiapp.com. We may verify your identity before responding. EEA/UK residents may complain to a supervisory authority (e.g., ICO in the UK).

11) Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, secure development practices). No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please use a strong password and keep your device/software updated.

12) Children's privacy

The Services are not intended for children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it. If your local law sets a higher age for consent to online services, we will comply with that higher age.

13) Cookies and similar technologies

We use only essential cookies on the Site and limited analytics to understand aggregate usage; we do not serve interest-based ads on the Site. You can control cookies via your browser.

14) Do Not Track

Because there is no common industry standard, our Services do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" signals. We will update this Policy if a standard is adopted.

15) Third-party links

The Services may include links to third-party websites/apps. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

16) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy to reflect operational, legal, or regulatory changes. If we make material changes, we will notify you (e.g., via the app or the Site) and indicate a new effective date. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date means you accept the updated Policy.
